The Drinks Trust COVID-19 Relief Fund – Apply Now

To be eligible for the Fund, applicants will have worked in one of the roles detailed below for more than two years, either in full-time or part-time positions.

The application form will remain open until Friday 10th April at 7pm, or until 10,000 applications have been received, whichever arrives first.

The Drinks Trust COVID-19 Relief Fund prioritises two groups of individuals who have been uniquely impacted, they are:

1. Those who have been made redundant and subsequently not been reinstated therefore unable to benefit from the government’s salary grant scheme
2. Those on zero-hours contracts who were on lesser incomes or limited hours, and as a result will have limited income relief

Additionally, individuals will have worked in one of the following establishment types;

1. On-trade; bars, pubs and those who worked with drinks in restaurants and hotels, such as sommeliers and beverage managers
2. Off-trade; those who worked in alcohol retailing businesses
3. Distribution; those who worked in businesses supplying the above

Qualifying individuals can access a one-off financial grant of £250, payable directly into your bank account. The Drinks Trust and The BEN in Scotland will apply their expertise in assessing applications and will prioritise individuals who have health conditions and also those caring for dependents.

The application process will take place in two stages, as follows:

1. Applicants will complete the web form, which can be accessed through the CV19 Fund page on The Drinks Trust website, by clicking here CV19 Fund.
2. Up to 2000 individuals, with the most immediate financial needs, will be approved and then be required to submit supporting documents and bank details before final approval and payment are made

All supporting documents will be submitted via an encrypted server. These documents will only be accessible by qualifying staff within The Drinks Trust and The BEN.

This process may take several weeks to complete, and your patience is appreciated during this process. All applicants, those successful or otherwise, will be informed of the outcome of their application.
