A special message from a great friend of mine – please read and spread the word

Below my intro paragraph is a message that Alex sent out this afternoon to his friends and clients.

My personal link with Alex, and his wife Helen, is that these guys are absolutely stunning event managers from a chef/front-of-house point of view.  I asked Alex to design my own 50th birthday celebrations as well as other bespoke dinners and drinks party canapé gigs and every single event has been a roaring success.  I have introduced him to loads of people, too, and every single person loves The Pickled Fork.  I first met Alex through Bill Muirhead AM, Agent General of South Australia and Executive Director of M&C Saatchi.  Alex and Helen catered a wine tasting event that I was hosting and his food was utterly delicious.  This was many years ago and we have all been friends ever since.  Anyway, as well as his celeb clients (I am sworn to secrecy, but the list is glittering) he works for global enterprises and hosts of private individuals cooking carefully assembled menus following specific themes as well as tailoring gastronomic dinners to suit his clients’ wishes.

I am keen to support indie wine merchants with all of my work in these challenging times, but I am also determined to spread the word about awesome private chefs, too, and The Pickled Fork is a terrific and extraordinarily professional company.  I have already signed up to the initiative below not least because my wife and I are always knackered at the end of the day and while home cooking is good for five/six nights of the week, we are getting increasingly weary of the ubiquitous Deliveroo options and would love to eat something special, restaurant food if you will, that doesn’t break the bank.  We have gone for the Wednesday choice next week and I have a brilliant bottle of this wine (click on this link) lined up to drink alongside it!   I could not resist the Wings, too, so that gives me an opportunity to open up one of the many Clare Valley Riesling in our cellar, too.  I hope that you take my advice and give The Pickled Fork a whirl.

Like most of us, Coronavirus is hitting us hard here at The Pickled Fork. However, as always, we’re going to roll up our sleeves and do what we do best! For us, this means cooking great food and bringing date night to you.

We’ll deliver restaurant-standard, fresh, seasonal meals prepared daily by professional chefs using locally sourced produce. Prices start from £25 for 2 people plus FREE local contact-free delivery.

We follow a strict health and safety regime and can guarantee that all steps have been taken to ensure safe food handling. Our dishes are cooked from scratch and we cater for all dietary requirements.

How does it work?

* Weekly menus will be posted online via our website and social media pages.

* You can either order for 1 day, 1 week or 1 month. Kids’ meals are available on request.

* All dietary requirements can be catered for.

* Meals are designed to be reheated in a microwave or oven.

* Paper free cooking instructions will be emailed upon receipt of payment.

How do I order?

Orders can be placed 7 days a week via our email info@thepickledfork.com or by calling 07523110860. Orders are to be placed before 10pm for the next day.

How do I pay?

Payments via BACS or Revolut

What are the delivery times?

Delivery is between 4pm-6pm Monday – Friday

How much does it cost?

Dinner for 2 – includes 1 main course + 2 sides per person  = £25

Dinner for 4 – includes 1 main course + 2 sides per person = £40

Add on – Starters or desserts £5 each
